Assuming I’m right, I think the real question here is whether there’s anything bad in drinking milkshakes regularly.
For sure, a milkshake is that one snack you can’t really beat. It’s a two-in-one beverage that allows you to enjoy the pleasure of a dessert and that of a drink.
In the drink part, the shake packs various nutritive values, albeit most people don’t actually see it. If it’s the main ingredient- milk, you or your child can benefit a lot from its rich protein. Thus, assisting in boosting bone development and also building muscles if you do work out.

- ½ cup whole milk
- I tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 frozen strawberries
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
You’ll also need to have a blender to break down the solid ingredients and help every other thing mix thoroughly. Either a regular or high-power model can do the work as long it won’t leave fruit chunks undissolved.
- Place all the ingredients into your blender container in the listed order (Liquid first and frozen fruits last).
- Set the variable knob to the lowest “1” setting
- Turn the machine on and slowly raise the speed to variable 10
- Blend the mixture for about 30 seconds or until smooth. If you notice the milkshake is not thick as you want it, add some ice and continue blending. You can use the tamper to push the stubborn fruit chunks or ice into the blades
- Turn the machine off and serve in the glass while still thick. If desired, you can spread a layer of frosting, fresh strawberries, or any other favorite toppings.
You can also fresh strawberries for your shake if you don’t have frozen ones. However, you’ll need to use real heavy whipping cream so that you can have a thicker shake. Otherwise, your refreshing drink will be nothing more than a vanilla strawberry smoothie.
Also, it’s worth mentioning ice is not the best thickener when it comes to milkshakes. Yes, you’ll get that denser texture at first but it will be temporary as the ice will start melting and thin the shake.
Must You Have A Blender To Prepare This Recipe?
In this strawberry milkshake, you require fresh or frozen strawberries for the blend. So, there’s no exception to using a blending machine. Otherwise, how else will you be able to break apart the fruits and ensure they mix thoroughly with the milk and the rest of the ingredients.
Anyway, here are three great options that you may like if you don’t have or would like to replace your blender.
